UK Flagship Hub, Northampton
At our 480,000 sq ft Northampton facility (comprising 260,000 sq ft main warehouse, 150,000 sq ft extension, and 70,000 sq ft pick-to-light tower), we've invested heavily in physical automation to complement our software, giving us speed, accuracy, and throughput capabilities that manual operations simply can't match. The automation below is specific to our UK hub and forms the backbone of our UK fulfilment operation.
SORTATION
Automated Sorting System
At the heart of our sortation operation is high-speed automated sortation control software, operating in real-time to oversee the entire sorting process. Automated sorting accurately directs every carton and tote to the correct carrier lane, handling both full-case and broken-case shipments up to 600 x 900 mm, processing thousands of units per hour with minimal human intervention. Every return is initiated through a branded consumer portal, linked to the original order, inspected via scan-based PDA workflow, graded, and routed to the correct inventory location automatically. Returns are no longer a gap in the supply chain, with FlowBack, they are a controlled, auditable, and transparent process from end to end.
